Karnataka's Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar has paid tribute to veteran actor Dharmendra, who passed away at 89. The legendary actor's charisma and unforgettable performances left an indelible mark on Indian cinema, touching millions of hearts. Shivakumar recalled the iconic 'Sholay' film, shot in Ramanagaram, as a testament to Dharmendra's enduring legacy. Dharmendra's illustrious career spanned 64 years, with 75 hits as a lead actor, surpassing the career highs of several major Bollywood stars, including Amitabh Bachchan, Rajesh Khanna, Shah Rukh Khan, and Salman Khan. From action heroes to romantic leads, Dharmendra's versatility on screen earned him a special place in the hearts of Indian cinema fans. Born in 1935, Dharmendra began his film career with Dil Bhi Tera Hum Bhi Tere in 1960 and went on to star in numerous iconic films, including Anupama, Aadmi Aur Insaan, Mera Gaon Mera Desh, Seeta Aur Geeta, Loafer, and Dharam Veer.
