Veteran actor Dharmendra is set to make a triumphant return to the big screen after a recent health scare. In a heartwarming announcement, the makers of his upcoming film 'Ikkis' unveiled the actor's character poster, paying tribute to his enduring legacy. The film, directed by Sriram Raghavan, tells the inspiring true story of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, the youngest recipient of the Param Vir Chakra, who made the ultimate sacrifice in the 1971 Indo-Pak war. Dharmendra, 89, will play the role of M L Khetarpal, Arun's father, alongside Agastya Nanda as his son. The film also stars Jaideep Ahlawat and Sikander Kher in key roles. In the emotional announcement, Dharmendra's voice echoed, describing his 'bada beta' (older son) as forever 21, a poignant reference to Arun's untimely demise. The poster, captioned 'Fathers raise sons. Legends raise nations,' has left fans deeply moved. 'Ikkis' is set to release in cinemas worldwide on December 25, 2025. Dharmendra's health scare earlier this month sparked widespread concern, but the actor has since been discharged from the hospital and is now gearing up for his big screen comeback.
