Ranveer Singh's highly anticipated spy thriller Dhurandhar, directed by Aditya Dhar, is set to hit theaters worldwide this Friday. The film boasts a talented ensemble cast, including Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, and Akshaye Khanna. With a widely acclaimed trailer and brisk advance bookings, Dhurandhar was expected to make a massive opening. However, recent numbers indicate a slower pace, sparking concerns about the impact of controversies on the film's box office performance. Despite this, trade experts remain optimistic about Dhurandhar's chances, predicting a net opening collection of ₹18-20 crore in India, with some estimates as low as ₹15 crore. While this would be a respectable opening, it would still fall short of the biggest Hindi film openings this year, including Saiyaara's ₹21.50 crore and Animal's record-breaking ₹64 crore net. Dhurandhar will release across 5,000 screens in India on December 5.
