Bareilly, UP - In a move to ensure the safety of Bollywood actress Disha Patani's family, the Bareilly district administration has granted a weapons license to her father, retired DSP Jagadish Patani. This decision comes after a violent gang attack on their ancestral home in September. The incident occurred on September 11-12 when unidentified assailants fired around 10 rounds outside the Patani residence. The suspects were identified as members of the notorious Rohit Godara-Goldy Brar gang. Following the attack, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath assured Jagadish of security. In response to the Chief Minister's assurance, Jagadish requested a weapons license from the Bareilly District Magistrate, Avnish Singh. After completing the necessary formalities, he was granted a license for a revolver/pistol. This development comes as Disha Patani continues to make headlines in the entertainment industry. The actress has been a part of several recent projects, including the 2024 films Yodha, Kalki 2898 AD, and Kanguva. She is also set to make her Hollywood debut in Kevin Spacey's Holiguards Saga — The Portal of Force and has Welcome to the Jungle lined up in Hindi.
