Despite being a household name in Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan has never collaborated with Ram Gopal Varma, a renowned filmmaker behind cult classics like Satya (1998) and Rangeela (1995). In a recent podcast, Varma opened up about their non-existent on-screen partnership. According to Varma, their distinct filmmaking styles were the main reason for the lack of collaboration. He described Shah Rukh's high-energy persona as 'a live wire bursting with energy,' which clashed with his own 'composed and intense' style. Varma also admired Shah Rukh's incredible screen presence and independence as a performer, stating that he often felt like he had little to contribute to the actor's scenes. The filmmaker revealed that he had initially approached Shah Rukh for the role in Company, but ultimately decided against it due to the character's contrasting personality. Varma is currently working on his next projects, including the horror thriller Police Station Mein Bhoot, while Shah Rukh Khan is gearing up for his upcoming films, including the highly anticipated action-thriller King. The latter will mark the Bollywood debut of his daughter, Suhana Khan, alongside Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, and Arshad Warsi.
