The Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) has withdrawn its non-cooperation directive against Ranveer Singh, sparking speculation that the move came after the actor sent a legal notice to the federation. However, FWICE president BN Tiwari has dismissed the claims, asserting that the body did not take the decision 'on a gunpoint.'

According to Tiwari, FWICE had already decided to revoke the directive before receiving the legal notice. He revealed that the federation received a letter from the Producer Guild and the Indian Motion Picture Producers' Association (IMPPA) on May 29, and met with them on May 30, which led to the decision to withdraw the notice.

Tiwari clarified that FWICE's decision to withdraw the non-cooperation notice was not a defeat, but rather a victory for the industry as a whole. He expressed confidence that something good would come out of the situation, and that Ranveer and Farhan Akhtar would sit down with the producers to resolve the ongoing dispute and work towards a mutually agreeable solution.
