Veteran actor Dharmendra's passing on November 24 at the age of 89 has sent shockwaves through the entertainment industry, leaving friends, family, and fans to mourn his loss. Among those grieving is actor Govinda, who has shared a poignant tribute on Instagram, honoring his idol and mentor. In a heartfelt post, Govinda shared a throwback photo of himself with Dharmendra, who beamed with a smile as he hugged the young actor. 'There can be no one like you,' Govinda wrote, 'love you my ustad forever.' The post moved Govinda's followers, prompting an outpouring of condolence messages in the comments section. Over the years, Govinda collaborated with Dharmendra on several projects, including Kaun Kare Kurbanie, Dadagiri, and Paap Ko Jalaa Kar Raakh Kar Doonga. In a display of solidarity, Govinda was among the many Bollywood celebrities who visited Dharmendra in the hospital earlier this month, alongside Shah Rukh Khan, Aryan Khan, and Salman Khan. Dharmendra, who had been recovering at home after a health scare, passed away at his Juhu residence on Monday. He was later cremated in the presence of family and industry colleagues, including Amitabh Bachchan, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Salim Khan, and Shah Rukh Khan. Dharmendra leaves behind his two wives, Prakash Kaur and Hema Malini, and six children, including Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, and Esha Deol. His final film, Ikkis, is set to release on December 25, with Dharmendra essaying the role of Agastya Nanda's father, directed by Sriram Raghavan and starring Jaideep Ahlawat in a lead role.
