Yami Gautam and Emraan Hashmi's Haq, which has been gaining momentum at the box office, saw a slight dip on its fourth day of release. The film, inspired by the real-life story of Shah Bano Begum, who fought for the rights of divorced Muslim women in court, collected ₹1 crore on Monday, leaving its total earnings at ₹9.95 crore. Despite the dip, the film has shown significant growth over the weekend, with a 100% increase in revenue on Saturday and a similar surge on Sunday. The film's success can be attributed to positive word-of-mouth, with fans spreading the word about the movie on social media. Yami Gautam, who plays the lead role of Shazia, expressed her gratitude towards the audience and the trade media for their support. The film, directed by Suparn S Varma, also features Vartika Singh, Danish Husain, Sheeba Chadha, and Aseem Hattangady in key roles. Haq's story revolves around Shazia, a homely woman who marries a successful advocate, only to be abandoned and left with nothing after he brings home a second wife. The film follows her journey as she fights for her rights in court, inspired by the landmark case of Shah Bano Begum in 1985. The Madhya Pradesh High Court had previously dismissed a petition to stop the film's release, allowing it to hit theaters on Friday.
