Hema Malini Reacts to Dharmendra's Oscars Snub: 'He Never Cared About Awards'

Last month, BAFTA honored late Indian superstar Dharmendra in their In Memoriam section. However, the 98th Academy Awards failed to mention him during the live TV broadcast, despite honoring him on their official website.
Hema Malini, Dharmendra's wife, reacted to the snub, stating that it was a shame for the Academy to overlook an actor who meant so much to many people worldwide.
However, she added that Dharmendra would not have cared about the Oscars' snub, as he never received many awards during his lifetime and was happy to be loved in his country.
Several Indian netizens expressed their disappointment on social media, slamming the Academy Awards for disrespecting Bollywood legends like Dharmendra.
During the live telecast, late Hollywood legends such as Diane Keaton, Catherine O'Hara, and Robert Redford were remembered, but Dharmendra's name was noticeably absent.
