Zarine Khan, the mother of Sussanne Khan, Zayed Khan, Farah Khan Ali, and Simone Arora, passed away on November 7 at the age of 81 due to age-related ailments. Born into a Parsi family and married into a Muslim family, Zarine was cremated according to Hindu rites. In a touching tribute, Hrithik Roshan, Sussanne's former husband, remembered Zarine fondly at her prayer meet on November 10. 'It has been my privilege to love and be loved by you,' he said, reflecting on their relationship. Hrithik's son, Hridaan Roshan, also paid tribute to his grandmother, stating, 'She carried this calmness and kindness that made everyone feel cared for.' Zarine's son, Zayed Khan, described her as 'my God,' expressing his deep grief. Sunjay Khan, Zarine's husband, shared a touching anecdote about their first meeting, when he was 18 and Zarine was 14. He proposed to her, and she said she would marry him after a year, if she felt the same way. Sunjay recalled, 'I said, "With or without her beauty, she is also intelligent. She will make me a very good wife."' Farah Khan Ali, Zarine's daughter, shared a heartfelt tribute, describing her as 'a woman of unmatched kindness and calmness.' She recalled the outpouring of love from people from all walks of life who came to pay their last respects. 'To her, all were equal, and all equally important,' Farah said. Zarine's family is grieving her loss, but they are also grateful for the time they had with her. As Farah put it, 'She shaped me and my siblings in her image — she loved generously and gave without flinching. She had a golden heart, just like the meaning of her beautiful name Zarine.'
