The 56th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa continued its second day with a lineup of exciting masterclasses and film screenings. The highlight of the day was the masterclass session, which brought together two generations of filmmakers, Muzaffar Ali and his son Shaad Ali. The conversation between the two was engaging and insightful, with Muzaffar sharing stories from his career, including the making of his iconic film Umrao Jaan and the challenges of restoring his unfinished film Zooni. Other notable film screenings included the restored version of 1942: A Love Story, presented in 8K format. Director Vidhu Vinod Chopra spoke about the months-long process of converting the film. The screening was attended by Jackie Shroff and Anupam Kher, who were part of the cast. Kamal Haasan, along with actors Sai Pallavi and Karthikeyan, presented their acclaimed film Amaran, which was also the opening feature film in the Indian Panorama Section. The cast of The Family Man, including Manoj Bajpayee, Jaideep Ahlawat, and Nimrat Kaur, creators Raj Nidimoru and DK, were present for the screening of the first episode of their third season. The packed hall included filmmaker-actor Farhan Akhtar, who attended the premiere of his latest film 120 Bahadur, directed by Razneesh Ghai.
