Actor Janhvi Kapoor recently shared her thoughts on the harsh scrutiny her mother, Sridevi, faced during her lifetime. Janhvi revealed that her mother was frequently called a 'homewrecker' for her marriage to Boney Kapoor, a label that left a lasting emotional impact on her.
Janhvi appeared on Raj Shamani's podcast where she spoke about losing her mother, Sridevi. She shared that the biggest trauma she faced was losing her mother, especially the way she did, in front of the whole world.
Janhvi also recalled watching an old interview of Sridevi, where she faced struggles for her decision to get married to Boney Kapoor. She said that people were not kind to her mother and called her a homewrecker, which played on her mind and made her feel a certain way.
Janhvi's mother, Sridevi, was a renowned actress who was known for her iconic roles in Hindi movies such as Chandni, Lamhe, Mr India, and English Vinglish. She died in 2018 at the age of 54 in a Dubai hotel bathroom.
Janhvi is set to appear in the upcoming Telugu film Peddi opposite Ram Charan, which is scheduled for release later this year.
