Veteran screenwriter and lyricist Javed Akhtar believes that artificial intelligence (AI) is here to stay, and it's time to focus on utilizing its potential rather than resisting its impact on the film industry. Speaking at the Soundscapes of India- Season 2, Akhtar acknowledged that some concerns against AI are genuine, particularly in the context of Hollywood screenwriters' recent strike against the use of AI and machine learning models. However, he emphasized that these concerns are largely exaggerated and that AI ultimately depends on the data it's trained on. "The data is always going to be shared and used," Akhtar said. "You have to decide what share of it you want. It is never going to stop.
