Acclaimed actors Jimmy Shergill, Sanjay Mishra, and Anchal Singh are gearing up to star in Magical Wallet, the directorial debut of Nitin Kushwaha. The film's narrative is deeply rooted in the mystique of Varanasi, which has inspired the story. Kushwaha, a native of Orai in Uttar Pradesh, credits the city's ghats with sparking the idea for the film. The locations for the movie have been finalized, and the cast, including Ishtiyak Khan, is set to bring the magical story to life. Kushwaha's vision is to seamlessly blend the modern world with ancient mythology, and he believes Varanasi is the perfect backdrop to achieve this. The filmmaker's journey to Magical Wallet began when he was working on a documentary in Varanasi. As he sat on the ghats, a story idea emerged, but it remained elusive until he found a connection between the magical wallet concept and his wife's spiritual beliefs. This realization allowed him to weave the story into a relatable narrative that spans both the present and the ancient world. Kushwaha's path to filmmaking was not straightforward. He worked as a graphic and animation designer before developing medical complications that forced him to reassess his career. He began assisting in the direction department on shows like Emotional Atyachaar and Halla Bol, eventually working on the feature film Muzaffarnagar. Now, with Magical Wallet, he's ready to take center stage as a director. Production for Magical Wallet is set to begin in mid-February next year, with Kushwaha and his team conducting a final technical recce before commencing the shoot. As the film comes to life, it will be a testament to the enduring spirit of Varanasi, a city that has inspired countless artists and storytellers throughout history.
