A fresh controversy has erupted in the Sunjay Kapur estate battle as his children, Samaira and Kiaan, file a plea with the Delhi High Court questioning the authenticity of their late father's will. The children, who are locked in a legal battle with stepmother Priya Sachdev Kapur, claim that the will presented by Priya is fake and intended to exclude them from their father's estate. The court has issued notices to Priya and the executor of the will, Shradha Suri Marwah, seeking their response within three weeks. The matter has been listed for December 16. Karisma's kids allege that the will is forged and fabricated, while Priya's counsel has dismissed their claims as 'bogus and baseless'. The children have sought inspection of the original will, which was filed in a sealed cover in September, to verify its authenticity. A parallel interim injunction application has also been filed to restrain Priya from alienating the children from their father's assets. The hearing on that plea will continue on November 20. Sunjay Kapur, a businessman who died in June, was married to Karisma from 2003-16 and had two kids with her. He married Priya in 2017, with whom he has one son.
