In her latest web series 'Mrs Deshpande', actress Madhuri Dixit plays a complex role that delves beyond the surface of a serial killer. The six-episode psychological thriller, directed by Nagesh Kukunoor, follows a female serial killer who is approached by the police after a string of murders mirrors her trademark style. Dixit, known for her glamorous roles in films like 'Hum Aapke Hain Koun' and 'Devdas', chose to prioritize emotional depth over graphic depictions of violence and gore in the series. The actress acknowledged the responsibility that comes with playing a serial killer, but emphasized that the show is more about the character's story and emotions than the killings themselves. "I was very clear that it's not the violence we're talking about, it's the emotion, it's not like gore and all," Dixit said in an interview. "It's the story, it's her character, it's the revelations and what's happened with her, those are the important part of the story.
