The Mumbai Police have summoned Shraddha Kapoor's brother, Siddhanth Kapoor, to appear on November 25 in connection with a ₹252 crore drugs case. This development comes as part of an ongoing investigation into the seizure of 126.14 kg of mephedrone, a synthetic stimulant worth around ₹252 crore, in March 2024. The police had earlier summoned Orhan Awatramani, aka Orry, who failed to appear and requested more time. According to sources, Siddhanth Kapoor's name came up during the interrogation of key accused Mohammed Salim Mohammed Suhail Shaikh. Shaikh, who was deported from Dubai last month, allegedly organised lavish parties in Dubai and Mumbai, attended by several high-profile figures, including Nora Fatehi, Shraddha Kapoor, and filmmakers Abbas–Mustan. Shaikh had confessed to the police that he organised rave parties across India and abroad for celebrities. Siddhanth Kapoor has been detained in Bengaluru in 2022 on charges of consuming drugs. Neither Shraddha nor Siddhanth have made any public statements on this matter. The case has raised questions about the involvement of Bollywood personalities in the alleged drug racket. Shaikh's claim of attending parties with several celebrities has sparked concerns about the potential nexus between the entertainment industry and the drug trade. The police are expected to continue their investigation and gather more evidence in the coming days.
