Legendary actor Nagarjuna's iconic 1989 film Shiva is set to return to the big screen in a remastered 4K version on November 14. The film, directed by Ram Gopal Varma, marked a milestone in Nagarjuna's career and has gained cult status over the years. The movie, starring Nagarjuna and Amala Akkineni as students Shiva and Asha, was a massive hit upon its initial release. In an interview ahead of the re-release, Nagarjuna expressed his gratitude to RGV for giving him the opportunity to star in this beloved film. He also shared a heartwarming anecdote about his late father's reaction to the film's success. When asked if his sons, Naga Chaitanya or Akhil Akkineni, would consider starring in a remake of Shiva, Nagarjuna humorously replied, 'Chay and Akhil don't have the guts to remake Shiva.' The news comes as Nagarjuna and Chaitanya were last seen in Lokesh Kanagaraj's Coolie and Chandoo Mondeti's Thandel, respectively, while Akhil starred in Surender Reddy's Agent. Nagarjuna also expressed his desire to collaborate with his wife, Amala, again in a future project.
