Actor Peter Serafinowicz has joined the cast of HBO's upcoming 'Harry Potter' series. He will play the role of Peeves the Poltergeist. The series also features Dominic McLaughlin as Harry Potter, Arabella Stanton as Hermione Granger, and Alastair Stout as Ron Weasley. The ensemble cast includes Rory Wilmot, Lox Pratt, Leo Earley, Elijah Oshin, Tristan Harland, Gabriel Harland, Ruari Spooner, and Alessia Leoni.
The series is based on J K Rowling's bestselling books and will bring all seven novels to the screen, with each season corresponding to one book. The series is expected to run through 2036. Peter Serafinowicz is known for his roles in 'The Tick' and 'Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace'. The series is written and executive produced by Francesca Gardiner, with Mark Mylod serving as executive producer and directing multiple episodes.
