In a shocking turn of events, Prabhas' highly anticipated film Raja Saab has become the biggest box office bomb in recent times. Despite crossing the ₹200 crore mark worldwide on day 10, the film's slow pace has raised eyebrows in the trade circles. According to sources, Raja Saab earned ₹100 crore on its opening day, but failed to maintain the momentum, crashing and burning in the subsequent days. The film's second weekend earnings stood at a dismal ₹9 crore net domestically, a staggering 92% drop from the opening weekend. The film's one-week domestic earnings now stand at ₹139.25 crore net and ₹167 crore gross, while the overseas market has contributed around $4 million, taking the global haul to ₹202 crore gross. Raja Saab's slow run is a stark contrast to Prabhas' previous flops, Adipurush and Saaho, which reached the ₹200 crore mark in just two days, five times faster than the current film. With a massive ₹400-crore budget, Raja Saab is likely to end its run with a lower figure than its predecessors. Directed by Maruthi, Raja Saab was expected to be a family entertainer, marking Prabhas' return to the genre after a decade. However, the film received largely negative reviews from critics, contributing to its box office disaster. The film stars Sanjay Dutt, Malavika Mohanan, Nidhhi Agerwal, Riddhi Kumar, Boman Irani, and Zarina Wahab, but it seems that the hype surrounding the film's release has fizzled out at the box office.
