South Indian actor Prithviraj Sukumaran has spoken highly of his collaboration with renowned director SS Rajamouli, who is set to release his ambitious film Varanasi in 2027. In an event earlier this month, Prithviraj revealed that his role in the film, Kumbha, is the most complex and physically demanding character he has played. According to Prithviraj, Rajamouli initially approached him to join the film while he was in the midst of directing another project. The actor was thrilled to be offered the role of the antagonist and described Rajamouli as a master of pushing boundaries in Indian cinema. He praised the director's vision and ambition, saying that Varanasi will be a game-changer for Indian cinema. Prithviraj also credited Rajamouli for creating a 'torturous' yet unforgettable shooting experience in Varanasi. When asked about the film's progress, Rajamouli jokingly replied, "It's fantastic!" Varanasi is an action-packed adventure film that follows the story of a globe-trotting hero as he navigates perilous missions across various countries. The film features a star-studded cast, including Mahesh Babu, Priyanka Chopra, and Prithviraj Sukumaran in the lead roles.
