A fresh development has emerged in the ongoing legal battle over the estate of late Sunjay Kapur, with his minor son opposing a plea filed by Karisma Kapoor's children challenging the authenticity of Sunjay's will. The children of Karisma Kapoor, who are represented by their mother as legal guardian, had filed a plea in the Delhi High Court earlier this month questioning the legitimacy of the will. According to sources, Priya Kapur's son's lawyer, senior advocate Akhil Sibal, submitted that the case against the will is based on speculation and guesswork. He pointed out that the children of Karisma Kapoor allegedly knew they were excluded from the will and therefore challenged it, despite not having a copy of the document. Sibal further stated that the children refused to sign a confidentiality agreement to obtain a copy of the will, and instead chose to challenge its authenticity. The lawyer also highlighted the fact that Karisma Kapoor had been in communication with Priya Kapur to get the paperwork finished, indicating that the children's claims may not be entirely genuine. This latest development comes as Priya Kapur is currently engaged in a high-profile legal battle over the estate of her late husband Sunjay Kapur. The case has raised questions about the validity of the will and the intentions of the parties involved. Sunjay Kapur was the chairman of Sona Comstar, a leading auto parts manufacturer, and died in June while playing a polo match in London.
