New evidence has shed light on the heated dispute between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni, with private group chat messages revealing Rainn Wilson's support for the embattled actor. According to Variety, Baldoni's legal team submitted the group chat messages, dated January 5, 2024, which include Wilson, Travis Van Winkle, Andy Grammer, and producer Jamey Heath. The exchange began with Wilson checking in on Baldoni, asking for an update. Baldoni then described a tense conversation with Ryan Reynolds, claiming the actor scolded him and questioned his character, intentions, and behavior. Lively and Reynolds allegedly told Baldoni that his podcast with Heath made people feel 'safe,' and that he was handed specific lines to apologize, which Baldoni refused to do immediately. In a shocking response, Wilson wrote, 'You were set up and ambushed and personally attacked.' He compared Baldoni's shock to 'a deer in the headlights' and encouraged him to focus on creating a great story, rather than apologizing for something he didn't do. The allegations against Baldoni began when Lively filed a complaint with the California Civil Rights Department in December 2024, accusing him of sexual harassment and creating a hostile work environment. Baldoni responded with a defamation suit against Lively and Reynolds, which was later dismissed. He has since asked the court to dismiss Lively's harassment claims, with the case set to go to trial in March. The drama surrounding Baldoni and Lively has been ongoing, with many questions still unanswered. One thing is certain, however: Rainn Wilson has got his friend's back, and he's not afraid to speak out against what he believes is a gross injustice.
