The creators of the hit series 'The Family Man', Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK, have spoken out about their decision to pause work on two films to focus on the long-format series. In an exclusive interview, the duo revealed that they took a 'leap of faith' by venturing into the long format, and it paid off in a big way. The pair, known for their films '99', 'Shor in the City', and 'Go Goa Gone', were working on a film and preparing for another when they decided to put them on hold to focus on 'The Family Man'. The series, which premiered on Prime Video in 2019, became a runaway hit and was followed by a second season in 2021. 'The Family Man' revolves around Srikant Tiwari, a regular family man who works as a government agent trying to unmask terror plots. Looking back, Raj and DK are thrilled that they took the risk. 'We had to pause on the film we were working on, and the next film, and said we want to do long format,' Nidimoru explained. 'We wanted to do this story, and it paid off so well. It became so loved and widely known.' The third season of 'The Family Man' is set to release on Friday, and the creators are eager to surprise audiences once again. 'We want everybody to watch the third season,' DK said. 'It has been a long wait, and we want that wait to be worth it.' One of the challenges the creators faced was casting the antagonist, which took an extensive search. They finally settled on Jaideep Ahlawat for the role of Rukma, who will join Nimrat Kaur and Darshan Kumar in the new season. Raj and DK are confident that the third season will be even better than the first two. 'We want people to say, "This is even better than season one and two,"' Nidimoru said. With a fresh angle from the antagonist's side and a talented cast, 'The Family Man 3' is set to be a thrilling ride for audiences.
