SS Rajamouli's latest film, Varanasi, made headlines at its recent Hyderabad event, GlobeTrotter. The evening featured a dramatic entrance by lead actor Mahesh Babu, who rode onto the stage on a mechanical bull. Rajamouli has now revealed the behind-the-scenes effort that made this stunt possible. A recently released video shows the art team building the mechanical bull from scratch and setting up a rig at a soundstage. The video also highlights the massive manpower required to set up the event, including speed rails, ramps, and a large HD screen at the Ramoji Film City venue. The video showcases the testing phase of the bull ride, where Mahesh Babu joined in to ensure a smooth ride. His wife, Namrata Shirodkar, was seen praying for a successful event as Mahesh rode the bull onto the stage, leaving their daughter, Sitara Ghattamaneni, cheering. Varanasi is Rajamouli's next project after the 2022 blockbuster RRR. The film, set for release in 2027, is a time-travel and globetrotting adventure that sees Mahesh play Rudhra, Priyanka Chopra as Mandakini, and Prithviraj Sukumaran as the antagonist, Kumbha. The film's first glimpse shows Mahesh riding a bull, mirroring his iconic entrance at the GlobeTrotter event.
