The Ramayana teaser, starring Ranbir Kapoor as Rama, has been met with both praise and criticism. Producer Namit Malhotra has acknowledged the feedback, stating that they've taken it into account for the film.

Malhotra expressed his gratitude for the overwhelming response to the teaser, saying that it has been 'overwhelming, inspiring, and humbling.' He also acknowledged the hard work of the thousands of artists and collaborators who have been working on the film.

Seemingly addressing the criticism, Malhotra stated that they're 'listening closely, working diligently, and pouring every effort possible into honoring' the story of Ramayana.

The film, directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Namit and Yash, is set to be released in two parts for Diwali 2026 and 2026. The film has a reported budget of ₹4000 crore and features a star-studded cast, including Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, Yash, Sunny Deol, and Ravi Dubey.
