Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor has found himself at the center of a controversy after photos from a recent Netflix special, Dining with the Kapoors, surfaced online. The images appear to show the actor enjoying non-vegetarian dishes, including fish curry and junglee mutton, during a family lunch. Ranbir has been working on several projects, including Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana, where he is set to play the lead role of Lord Rama. The film's production team had earlier claimed that the actor had switched to a sattvic diet and lifestyle as part of his preparation for the role. However, this new evidence seems to contradict these claims. Social media users have taken to the platform to express their disappointment, with some accusing Ranbir's team of making false promises. One user commented, 'If they had kept their mouth shut, they wouldn't be facing this unnecessary heat.' Another user sarcastically said, 'Ranbir to PR: Tu jhooti main makkaar,' which roughly translates to 'You lied, I'm the one who's clever.' However, not everyone is upset with Ranbir's decision to eat non-vegetarian food. A fan defended the actor, saying, 'As a religious person, I don't have an issue with him eating non-veg. Why did he have to lie about it?' The controversy comes as the release of Ramayana: Part 1, which stars Ranbir, Rocking Star Yash, and Sai Pallavi, is set to take place on Diwali 2026.
