Ranveer Singh's highly-anticipated spy thriller Dhurandhar is just two days away from release, but its advance bookings have slowed significantly. Despite a promising start, the film's ticket sales have plateaued, potentially threatening its box office opening. According to recent data, Dhurandhar has sold approximately 50,000 tickets across 3,000 screens, generating a total gross of ₹2.30 crore on its first day. This is a far cry from the expected numbers, considering the film's scale and hype. As of Wednesday, the film's advance bookings are selling around 1,500 tickets per hour on the ticketing platform BookMyShow, a relatively low figure for a film of this magnitude. In contrast, other films like Tere Ishk Mein are selling tickets at a rate three times higher per hour. Historically, films of similar scale have sold up to 15,000 tickets per hour on BookMyShow before release. The makers of Dhurandhar are hoping for a surge in bookings on Thursday to salvage the situation and set up a strong opening for the film. Directed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar stars Ranveer Singh, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, Akshaye Khanna, Sara Arjun, and Rakesh Bedi in key roles. The film is set to release across 5,000 screens in India on December 5.
