Ranveer Singh's Kantara mimicry controversy has taken a new turn. The actor will file a revised affidavit of apology in the Karnataka High Court and visit the Chamundi temple to offer prayers.
According to reports, Ranveer's counsel informed the court that a fresh apology will be submitted, expressing remorse for his comments and clarifying that he was unaware of the hurt caused.
The actor stated that he was raised in a Sindhi household and was not aware of the sensitivities surrounding the depiction of Chamundi Devi in Kantara.
Ranveer's apology affidavit reads: 'I have filed an affidavit of apology. And I have undertaken in that affidavit that I will visit the temple as well.'
The complainant, Prashanth Methal, however, said that the affidavit did not reflect genuine remorse, and the case has been adjourned till April 23.
