Rashmika Mandanna's much-anticipated film 'The Girlfriend' has maintained its momentum on its first Monday in theaters, collecting ₹1.10 crore. The romantic thriller, which hit screens on Friday, has received largely positive reviews from audiences but mixed reactions from critics. After a successful weekend with collections of ₹2.4 crore on Saturday and ₹2.7 crore on Sunday, the film saw a slight drop on Monday. However, its total collection now stands at ₹7.50 crore, according to Sacnilk. The film's Telugu occupancy remained relatively high, with 18.55% overall, including 14.61% in morning shows, 22.55% in afternoon shows, and 18.49% in evening shows. Despite facing stiff competition from 'Haq' starring Yami Gautam and Emraan Hashmi in the Hindi belt, 'The Girlfriend' has managed to hold its ground. Directed by Rahul Ravindran, the film tells the story of a postgraduate student, Bhooma Devi (Rashmika), who finds herself trapped in a toxic relationship with Vikram (Dheekshith), a charming college student. The movie also features Anu Emmanuel and Rao Ramesh in key roles and has been produced by Dheeraj Mogilneni and Vidya Koppineni. Rahul Ravindran, the film's director, praised Rashmika Mandanna and Dheekshith Shetty for their dedication and passion. 'The Girlfriend' has been a labor of love for the entire cast and crew, and it's clear that their hard work is paying off at the box office.
