Actress Rashmika Mandanna has threatened legal action against those circulating an alleged old audio clip of her mother's private conversation. The clip, which has been circulating on social media, discusses Rashmika's past relationship with actor Rakshit Shetty and the issues that led to their split.
Rashmika, who recently tied the knot with Vijay Deverakonda, took to her Instagram story to react strongly to the leaked clip. She claimed that the conversation was recorded and circulated without her knowledge or consent, and that a portion of it has been taken out of context to create controversy.
The actress also accused some media platforms and individuals of manufacturing hate and controversy at the cost of her dignity and peace. She requested all media platforms, influencers, and individuals to remove the content immediately, failing which she will initiate legal action.
Rashmika has been a victim of sustained campaign of misinformation, harassment, and targeted attacks from a section of the media and individuals online for the past eight years. She has chosen to remain silent until now, when her family and people she shares cordial relationships with have been dragged into the controversy.
