Bollywood actress Richa Chadha has expressed her concerns over Delhi's severely polluted air quality, likening it to a 'gas chamber.' She's urging Mumbaikars to take action and protect their city from similar environmental degradation. Chadha's comments come as Mumbai residents protest a master plan allowing construction near the Sanjay Gandhi National Park. In recent weeks, Delhi's air quality has remained in the 'very poor' category. On Monday, the city's Air Quality Index (AQI) stood at 397, prompting the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) to implement stricter measures. The Supreme Court has allowed earlier stages of the GRAP to be activated, resulting in new restrictions, including: * Reducing office attendance to 50% and encouraging work-from-home arrangements for government and private offices. * Permitting central government employees to work from home. Vaani Kapoor and Kriti Sanon have also spoken out against Delhi's worsening air quality. Chadha's appeal to Mumbai residents is clear: 'Show up for the lungs of Mumbai' and protect the Sanjay Gandhi National Park to save the city from a similar fate.
