{ "title": "Rolling Stones Treasures: Iconic Guitars, Jackets Up for Grabs in $1.3M Auction", "article": "In a highly anticipated sale, Heritage Auctions is set to auction off a staggering 185 items from a private collection of Rolling Stones memorabilia. The collection, valued at around $1.3 million, includes rare stage-worn outfits, posters, and tickets, offering a glimpse into the band's early years. The star of the show is Brian Jones' Harmony Stratotone electric guitar, which is expected to fetch between $200,000 and $400,000. The guitar was Jones' first electric instrument and played a crucial role in the band's early gigs, demos, and even their first single, a cover of Chuck Berry's 'Come On'. Other notable items include a fringed suede jacket worn by Jones for his final live performance with the band, as well as a childhood book belonging to the late co-founder. Lead singer Mick Jagger and guitarist Keith Richards are also represented in the sale, with jackets and other memorabilia up for grabs. The sale, titled 'Satisfaction: The Rolling Stones Treasures from the Ali Zayeri Collection', is set to take place on December 4. Highlights of the collection are currently on display at Heritage Auctions' London office until November 28. According to Charles Epting, director of consignments, pop culture and historical at Heritage Auctions, the sale is expected to attract collectors from around the world. 'There are few bands that transcend language, borders, and anything like the Rolling Stones,' Epting said. 'We hope that certain key pieces like the guitar and jackets will find new homes and potentially push the price even higher.'"
