Salman Khan Firing Case: Charges Framed Against Five Accused, Trial to Begin

A special Maharashtra Control of Organized Crime Act court in Mumbai has framed charges against five individuals, including two alleged shooters, in the 2024 Salman Khan residence firing case. The accused, who pleaded not guilty, now face trial for their alleged involvement in the crime. Vickykumar Gupta, Sagarkumar Pal, Sonukumar Bishnoi, Rafiq Sardar Choudhari, and Harpal Singh have been charged with conspiracy, attempt to murder, and other crimes under the Indian Penal Code and MCOCA. The case unfolded on April 14, 2024, when two motorbike-borne men allegedly opened fire outside Galaxy Apartment in Bandra, Salman Khan's residence. The arrested individuals, along with the wanted accused, are believed to be part of an organized crime syndicate headed by gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. According to the charge order, the accused conspired to commit the murder and create terror in Mumbai city to establish supremacy. Lawrence Bishnoi, currently in an Ahmedabad jail, and his brother Anmol, who was recently deported from the USA and is in NIA custody, have also been named as wanted accused in the case. The trial is set to begin, with the court ordering the accused to be tried for their alleged crimes.
