In a recent video, comedian Samay Raina opened up about the controversy surrounding his show, India’s Got Latent. The show was shut down in 2025 after a guest made a remark that sparked widespread outrage and led to multiple FIRs against the show’s organisers.

According to Samay, the controversy erupted over a line from guest Ranveer Allahbadia asking if they would watch their parents have sex. This led to widespread backlash, with many calling for the show to be cancelled.

Samay revealed that he was forced to delete all the show's episodes from YouTube after his video editor was arrested by the police. He stated that he never wanted to remove the show but was pressured into doing so.

Samay later issued a public apology and submitted an affidavit to the Supreme Court, expressing remorse and a commitment to creating more responsible content. In the affidavit, he pledged to uphold “better conduct, content sensitivity, and legal compliance” moving forward.
