At the IFFI gala premiere of his film 'Vadh 2', actor Sanjay Mishra emphasized the need for more content-driven, humane stories in Indian cinema. The sequel to his 2022 release 'Vadh', 'Vadh 2' has been well-received by critics and audiences alike. Mishra acknowledged the challenges faced by filmmakers in securing backing from producers for niche films like 'Aankhon Dekhi' and 'Kaamyaab', which have received critical acclaim. He praised producers Ankur Garg and Luv Ranjan for supporting diverse projects and expressed gratitude for the support he has received from his producers. Director Jaspal Singh Sandhu, who wrote and directed 'Vadh 2', echoed Mishra's sentiments, highlighting the importance of having producers who understand and support the vision behind a film. The film features Neena Gupta in the lead, who was unable to attend the premiere. Sandhu and Mishra praised Gupta's exceptional talent and experience, with Sandhu noting that she requires minimal direction due to her vast experience in the industry. Mishra expressed his appreciation for Gupta's presence in the film, saying that she brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the set. The film's success is a testament to the growing demand for more humane, content-driven stories in Indian cinema, which Mishra believes is essential for the industry's growth.
