Cricketer Smriti Mandhana and music composer Palash Muchhal's highly anticipated wedding has hit a snag. The ceremony, scheduled for November 23, has been postponed due to a health scare involving Smriti's father, Shrinivas Mandhana. According to Palash's sister Palak, the couple has decided to put their wedding on hold until Smriti's father recovers. Palak took to Instagram Stories to request the public's respect for the families' privacy during this challenging time. The sudden turn of events unfolded when Smriti's father fell ill and was rushed to the hospital after experiencing symptoms similar to a heart attack. Palash, who is said to be close to Smriti's father, also visited the hospital and reportedly became emotional, which led to his own health concerns. While both Smriti and Palash are currently dealing with stress, Palash has returned to Mumbai and is recovering at home. Smriti has since deleted all wedding-related posts from her Instagram, shifting the focus from celebration to concern. The couple, who started dating in 2019, had made their relationship public in July 2024, marking five years together. However, their wedding plans have been put on hold for now, as they prioritize Smriti's father's health and well-being.
