The debate over nepotism in Bollywood has been ongoing for years, with many criticizing star kids for having it easy. However, actor Meezaan Jafri, son of Jaaved Jaaferi, disagrees. In a recent interview, Meezaan discussed the misconception that star kids have a smooth ride to success. Meezaan emphasized that while star kids may have an initial advantage, they also carry a significant burden. 'It's easier to start from scratch without the weight of their family's reputation,' he said. 'We have to work twice as hard to prove ourselves.' The actor also highlighted that every individual, regardless of their background, faces unique challenges in the industry. 'Groupism and cliques exist, and it's not easy to navigate,' he revealed. Meezaan's own journey in Bollywood began as an assistant director on Sanjay Leela Bhansali's films. He made his acting debut with Malaal, but it wasn't until his recent performance in De De Pyaar De 2 that he gained widespread recognition. The film, directed by Anshul Sharma and produced by T-Series Films and Luv Films, has received mixed reviews but has performed reasonably well at the box office, collecting ₹61.85 crore so far. Meezaan's comments serve as a reminder that success in Bollywood is not solely dependent on one's family connections. With hard work and determination, even star kids can overcome the challenges they face and achieve their goals.
