Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty has opened up about his experiences working with South Indian filmmakers. In a recent interview, he shared that he rarely takes on roles in South films due to a common trend of casting Hindi heroes in negative roles. According to Shetty, the South Indian film industry often approaches Bollywood stars for villainous parts, which he finds unappealing. When asked about his limited involvement in South Indian projects, Shetty explained that he gets offers for negative roles, where he is expected to play a powerful antagonist. However, he prefers to focus on other opportunities. Despite this, Shetty has worked on a few South Indian films, including 'Darbar' alongside Rajinikanth and a cameo appearance in 'Jai'. Shetty believes that language is no longer a barrier in the film industry, and that good content can transcend linguistic and regional boundaries. He is currently working on several projects, including the series 'Hunter 2' and the film 'Welcome To The Jungle', which features a star-studded cast. In the near future, Shetty will be seen in 'Hera Phera 3', with filming scheduled to begin in February or March next year. The actor remains committed to his craft, exploring opportunities in various regions and languages, while staying true to his artistic vision.
