A high-stakes legal battle is unfolding in India over the multimillion-dollar estate of Sunjay Kapur, a prominent businessman who tragically died in a polo match in June. His widow, Priya Sachdev Kapur, is at the center of the dispute, with Sunjay's children from his previous marriage accusing her of forging his will to gain control of his assets. According to Sunjay's mother, Rani S Kapur, Priya made every move to take control of his estate instead of mourning his death. In a recent hearing at the Delhi High Court, Rani expressed her shock that her son's will was altered without her knowledge or consent. The court has been made aware of the marital discord between Sunjay and Priya, which began in May 2023. The couple's marriage was marked by constant fights, and it is alleged that Priya concealed massive assets belonging to Sunjay. Sunjay was the chairman of Sona Comstar, a leading auto parts manufacturer. He was married to actress Karisma Kapoor from 2003 to 2016 and had two children with her. He later married Priya in 2017. The court has listed the matter for further arguments on December 3.
