R&B singer Trey Songz, whose real name is Tremaine Aldon Neverson, has been arrested and charged with assault after allegedly punching an employee at a New York City nightclub. The incident occurred on December 4 at Dramma Night Club in Times Square, where Neverson was partying with his crew. When the staff informed him that the club was closing at 4:25 am, Neverson became irate and allegedly attacked the employee, causing 'swelling and substantial pain.' Neverson was also charged with mischief for an unrelated incident at Mira, a Manhattan restaurant and hookah lounge, where he allegedly damaged property worth $1,500. The judge granted him supervised release due to his history of run-ins with the law, but ordered him to appear in court on February 18. The Dramma Night Club employee was granted an order of protection against Neverson, who is a regular customer at the club. Neverson's team has denied any wrongdoing, stating that he was 'charged in connection with an incident that occurred last week' and is 'cooperating fully' with the investigation. They also claimed that Neverson was confronted by individuals who instigated a confrontation, leading to an altercation.
