The hit South Korean fantasy thriller Death's Game is getting a high-profile Chinese movie adaptation, titled Deadly Loop, starring Fan Cheng Cheng and Zhao Jin Mai.
The film promises to bring a fresh perspective and a brand-new cast to the high-stakes survival story, which follows a young man trapped in a supernatural loop across twelve different existences.
Currently moving through the early stages of production, the film is aiming for a major theatrical release across mainland China in 2028.
Cameras officially began rolling for the project in April 2026, with director Zhang Yi Nan at the helm.
The movie is adapting the webtoon by Lee Won Sik and Ggulchan, which follows a man who is sentenced to cycle through twelve distinct lifetimes after choosing to end his own life.
The Chinese remake centers on Zhang Wei, a young man who struggles through these repeated lives and eventually channels his hard-earned wisdom into a desperate fight to protect his family and the people he loves.
