Thousands of Albanians protested in Tirana for a fourth consecutive day against a coastal tourism complex linked to US President Donald Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner.
The estimated $1.2 billion project, led by Kushner and his wife Ivanka, plans to build luxury hotels in the protected area of Vjosa-Narta on the southern coast.
Protesters argue that the project will harm the environment and want the repeal of the Strategic Investor Act and a reversal of the changes to the Protected Areas Act.
Albania has 22 percent of its territory designated as protected areas, and human rights activists claim that the project is about protecting Albania for future generations.
