A grass fire has been burning near the University of Utah Hospital in Salt Lake City, with the Salt Lake City Fire Department (SLCFD) reporting that the blaze is approximately 50 acres in size.
The SLCFD has shared several updates on X, warning people to avoid the area and refrain from flying drones due to the presence of state and federal helicopters operating on the fire with water drops.

While no structures are currently threatened, the fire is burning in a dry and breezy area, and air assets are assisting crews on scene.
