Dubai witnessed a fresh aerial attack on Friday, with debris hitting a building in the central financial district. The authorities confirmed that the debris caused minor damage to the facade of the building, but did not specify if it was a missile or a drone that was intercepted.
The incident comes a day after twin drone incidents in the city. The United Arab Emirates had intercepted 10 ballistic missiles and 26 drones amid Iran's sustained attacks on US facilities in the region.
A drone also fell in Dubai's Al Badaa area and on a building facade on Sheikh Zayed Road. The air raid sirens blared in Bahrain early on Friday morning, hours after a massive fire erupted near the airport following Iran drone strikes on fuel tanks.
Qatar condemned the Israeli air strikes in southern Lebanon, which left 15 people dead, including five children. The UAE has also taken precautions, with some companies evacuating their offices in Dubai's financial district due to fears of Iran attacks.
The Iran-US war has led to the temporary displacement of around 3.2 million Iranians, with many fleeing from Tehran and other major urban areas towards the north of the country and rural areas to seek safety.
