Iranians joined President Masoud Pezeshkian and top leaders at a Quds Day rally in Tehran, despite US-Israeli strikes nearby. At least one woman was killed in the strikes.

State TV showed President Pezeshkian greeting supporters and posing for selfies on the rain-spattered streets, as national security chief Ali Larijani dismissed the strikes as 'out of desperation'.

Larijani told state TV that 'one who is strong wouldn't bomb demonstrations at all', and that Iran 'will never withdraw' under the current circumstances.

Russian news outlets shared videos of the President and others mingling with the crowd, as he said US President Donald Trump 'doesn't understand that the Iranian people are a brave nation, a strong nation, a determined nation'.

The presence of Iranian officials at the rally was the most high-profile public showing since the February 28 strike that killed supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and other top officials.
