Kare11 reporter Julie Nelson will be taking some time off the air following a boating accident over the weekend. Nelson and her husband, Kurt Krumenauer, were both treated for non-life threatening injuries and are currently recovering.
Nelson, 54, has been with KARE channel 11 in the Minneapolis–Saint Paul metro area in Minnesota since 2003. The couple, who have been married since 2001 and have three daughters, were on a pontoon boat in Balsam Lake, Wisconsin when the accident occurred.
The incident took place on Saturday night, around 11pm, and is currently under investigation by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources. Nelson expressed gratitude for the outpouring of love and support from her fans and family.
