Russian President Vladimir Putin has sent his Nowruz greetings to Iran's leaders and people, reaffirming Moscow's commitment to supporting Tehran during the ongoing Middle East war.

Putin's message, which was sent on Saturday, was addressed to Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei and President Masoud Pezeshkian.

The Kremlin stated that Putin wished the Iranian people strength in overcoming the severe trials they are facing, and emphasized that Russia remains a loyal friend and reliable partner of Tehran.

Russia has condemned the US-Israeli strikes on Iran, which began on February 28, and also condemned the killing of Iranian security chief Ali Larijani in an Israeli air strike.

While Russia has not officially offered military assistance to Iran, US media reports suggest that Moscow is sharing military intelligence with Tehran to aid its drone and missile strikes in the Middle East.
