Anthropic has issued a statement regarding the partial outage of its artificial intelligence engine, Claude. The company has identified the cause of the issue and is working on a fix, with an update expected soon.

The outage, which was reported by several users, affected the chatbot, app, and website, with 63% of users experiencing problems with the chat, 24% with the app, and 10% with the website.

Users experiencing issues can try basic troubleshooting steps such as refreshing the page or restarting the app, but if the issue is related to a broader service outage, they will have to wait until Anthropic resolves the problem.

This is not the first outage for Claude, with a global outage reported earlier this month. Anthropic's Claude Status page posted updates about 'elevated errors' in the AI chatbot's Opus 4.6 model.
