The search for Nancy Guthrie continues, with a self-styled investigator sharing a new photo of Tommaso Cioni, son-in-law of the missing woman. The photo, shared on X, shows Cioni with people at school, sparking a range of reactions online.
Jonathan Lee Riches, or JLR, has been covering the case from Tucson and has shared several photos of Cioni and his wife, Annie Guthrie, in the past. The 84-year-old mother of TODAY show host Savannah Guthrie was reported missing from her Catalina Foothills home near Tucson, Arizona, on February 1.
Authorities believe she was kidnapped the night before, and it has been four months since her disappearance. Despite the lead investigating authority giving the Guthrie family an all-clear from being considered as suspects, public interest in Cioni and his wife has persisted.
The photo shared by JLR shows Cioni with his hands on the shoulders of two individuals in BASIS Oro Valley's attire, with their faces blurred. Cioni is looking dead ahead at the camera, drawing a variety of reactions from people online.
Some have expressed concerns about Cioni's eyes, with one person remarking, 'Something about his eyes just give me a bad vibe.' However, others have defended Cioni, noting that there is no evidence to suggest he is involved in the case.
Notably, Tommaso Cioni is a middle school teacher and was at BASIS Oro Valley at the time of the photo. The image has sparked a debate online, with some people questioning Cioni's behavior and others defending him against public speculation.
